Last week I received some great news from a company whose software we use called PPC Protect.
The email I received was informing me that they will be planting 4 trees in our name every month!
The idea behind this is to offset all carbon emissions generated by processing data by a minimum of 10x.
Up until the 27th of June they had already planted 1,850 trees which they are hoping will grow every month.

It was great to hear such fantastic news and is a cause we are very happy to hear we are supporting.

In addition to this we also all ensure that we use the search engine Ecosia for all of our internet browsing. They use their profits to plant trees.
You can even sign into your account and track the exact number of searches you have made and how many trees have been planted as a result. It does not cost you as a user any money, so what have you got to lose?
Why is this so important to Interface?
Firstly both of our directors come from forestry backgrounds. So responsible sourcing has always been at the heart of what we do.
In addition to this, we also offer FSC® and PEFC certification services. These are becoming more and more important for any company that is wishing to display a commitment to responsible sourcing of their forest-based products.
